Description
The VUT Mini Series is a high efficiency Heat Recovery Unit. It has a sophisticated Counter-flow heat exchanger which can recover up to 85% of the heat from the air that is being discharged. This recovered heat is used to pre-heat the fresh air being brought in from outside.

Application
This high efficiency MVHR unit is ideal for all new build dwellings, especially those being built to a higher standard of air-tightness as required by the Code For Sustainable Homes. This is also in line with the industries commitment to reduce the amount of CO2 produced throughout the lifetime of the property.

100% Summer Bypass Vavle
The heat recovery unit has a Summer Bypass System, which is completely integrated into the unit. The Bypass System diverts the incoming air completely around the heat exchanger. This means the extract air from the dwelling does not heat this fresh, incoming air.

Motors
The VUT Mini Series are provided with two energy efficient EC motors. EC stands for Electronically Commutated, and it combines AC and DC voltages bringing the best of both technologies. EC motors are up to 75% efficient—that’s a 51-59% increase on standard AC motors. The impellers have backward curved blades which help to keep the air displacement as clean as possible therefore maximising the capacity of the supply and extract fans.

Frost Protection Device
To prevent the heat exchanger from freezing The VUT Mini Series is fitted with a defrost thermostat. The thermostat prevents icing between the plates of the heat exchanger by stopping the supply fan for a short time if the incoming air temperature is below the level set on the unit (+ 5 Celsius by default). This enables the extract air to melt any ice that has formed in the heat exchanger.
